If you prefer to keep your feet firmly on solid ground (well, almost...), climbing in the Zillertal is the perfect activity for you – because here, it's steep uphill. Here, you need one thing above all else – courage. Via ferrata routes such as the popular Huterlaner in Mayrhofen lead you along impressive rock faces and offer views that will take your breath away – in the best possible way. Secured by a wire rope, you shimmy your way over steps, ladders and sometimes narrow rock edges – and once you reach the top? You'll experience that wonderfully exhilarating feeling of having made it! And if you want a little more airiness: in the high ropes course right on the Spieljoch, you'll walk across wobbly suspension bridges, flying foxes and courses high above the valley through the treetops.
