The cattle drives in the Zillertal take place at various locations and are accompanied by lively festivals featuring regional specialties, music, and traditional crafts.

The cattle drive in Reith im Alpbachtal is one of the largest and most beautiful of its kind in Tyrol. In addition to the magnificently decorated animals, visitors can look forward to a large church festival featuring a crafts and food market, alphorn players, whip-crackers, and many regional delicacies - a true experience for the whole family.
ADVENT MAGIC IN THE ZILLERTAL
When the Zillertal transforms into a winter wonderland, charming Advent markets and traditional events create a very special atmosphere.
November 28 through December 20, 2026 (Friday through Sunday each week)
On Advent weekends, the Mayrhofner Advent invites visitors to take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the festive atmosphere, featuring Christmas music, regional delicacies, and a festive spirit.

Location: Zell am Ziller Bandstand
Look forward to local crafts, a petting zoo, horse-drawn carriage rides, and plenty of Christmas treats—a popular destination for young and old alike.

Location: Finkenberg Bandstand
The Finkenberg Women's Group treats its guests to handmade "Doggln," traditional tents, and warming mulled wine. A small, cozy Advent market with plenty of Tyrolean charm.
